Nel corso della sua lunga e straordinaria carriera, il Professor Zichichi ha contribuito in modo determinante allo sviluppo della ricerca scientifica, alla formazione di generazioni di ricercatori e alla diffusione della cultura scientifica nel mondo.<br />
Abbiamo avuto l’onore di contribuire alla realizzazione dei suoi esperimenti, condividendo una visione della ricerca fondata sul rigore scientifico, sull’innovazione e sulla collaborazione internazionale.<br />

CAEN SpA participated alongside partners <a href="https://www.nuclearinstruments.eu/">Nuclear Instruments</a> and Weeroc, presenting advanced solutions for <strong>detector electronics and readout systems</strong> at booths #43, #44 and #45. The event provided an exceptional platform for engaging with the global scientific community and showcasing cutting-edge innovations.</p>
<p>Among the most notable innovations presented by CAEN were the new high-voltage power supply modules N2470 and N2470ET, designed to deliver great performance and reliability for complex detector applications. These multi-channel solutions integrate an onboard ARM processor for enhanced control and diagnostics, and they also allow software-level polarity switching.<br />
Equally significant was the introduction of the DTL Digitizer Series, including models <a href="https://www.caen.it/products/dtl2730/">2730</a>, <a href="https://www.caen.it/products/dtl2745/">2745</a>, and <a href="https://www.caen.it/products/dtl2751/">2751</a>.       The <a href="https://www-sk.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/en/hk/">Hyper-Kamiokande (Hyper-K) experiment in Japan</a> is an advanced neutrino observatory designed to explore fundamental physics questions, including neutrino oscillations, proton decay, and astrophysical neutrino sources.<br />
Located deep underground to reduce interference from cosmic rays, Hyper-Kamiokande consists of a massive tank filled with ultrapure water. When neutrinos interact with the water molecules, they produce Cherenkov radiation, which is detected by an array of over 400 large photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) for precise measurement of neutrino events.</p>
<p>To meet the specific demands of this experimental setup, <strong>CAEN is providing a reliable underwater power supply system composed of 911 Low Voltage and High Voltage boards</strong>. The Low Voltage section is based on the A7027HK module, which supplies stable and redundant power to the High Voltage boards and digitizers. It acts as a power interface between the remote source and the detector electronics, ensuring proper filtering, decoupling, and control.<br />
The High Voltage system, the A7026HK module (24 channels, 2.6 kV / 500 μA each), is designed specifically to power the photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) that capture Cherenkov light, ensuring a consistent and reliable signal for data acquisition.

SMRs are advanced nuclear reactors that provide low-carbon electricity and heat with enhanced safety and a smaller footprint. The alliance unites industry leaders, financial institutions, researchers, and policymakers to build a strong nuclear supply chain, support SMR projects, and overcome investment barriers. This initiative is a significant step towards integrating nuclear technologies into industrial applications and aiding Europe's decarbonization efforts.</p>
<p>This marks a significant milestone for our company as we join an elite network of organizations dedicated to shaping the future of the European energy landscape. As part of the Alliance, we have the opportunity to contribute to strategic Technical Working Groups (TWGs) addressing key topics such as:</p>

This MoU marks an important milestone for a collaboration focused on education, training, research, and development.</p>
<p>The three parties - SNIoE, CAEN SpA, and CAENspa India - are excited to combine their unique strengths and expertise to advance initiatives that will benefit the fields of science and technology. This partnership aims to set a virtuous example of collaboration between leaders in their respective fields.</p>

The event spanned two enlightening days, filled with seminars and practical workshops designed to deepen the attendees' expertise and practical skills in nuclear research methodologies.</p>
<p>The program kicked off with an introduction to CAEN SpA, laying the groundwork for a deep dive into essential subjects such as the characterization of nuclear waste and Decommissioning &amp; Dismantling (D&amp;D), insights into CAEN digitizers, the intricacies of Neutron-Gamma Discrimination, and the functionalities of the EasyPet System. Each segment was meticulously planned to fuse theoretical understanding with practical application, significantly enriching the learning journey for all participants.</p>
<p>The subsequent day shifted focus towards Environmental Radiation, coupled with an extensive, hands-on exploration of CAEN digitizers. These interactive sessions not only shed light on the forefront of technological advancements in the sector but also facilitated direct interaction with the latest equipment.</p>
<p>The triumph of the Winter School 2024 was the result of a collaborative endeavor, thanks to our partnership with the IMSci-Nu Master’s program. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the lively engagement and contributions from everyone involved, which rendered the event both fruitful and gratifying.</p>
