Overview |
|
The SY403 System has been designed to fulfil the requirements of small and medium sized experiments that need a large number of channels with individual High Voltage Power Supply.
The System, housed in a 19" wide, 4 U high Euro-mechanics rack, consists of a controller unit and plug-in boards. Four slots in the rear panel allow to house up to 4 HV boards (Mod. A 500 series).
Each board bears 16 positive or negative channels. Up to 64 independent channels can thus be housed in a single crate.
The SY 403 features a powerful software with a friendly User interface, together with sophisticated alarms and protection systems.
The System can be monitored and controlled locally via on-board alpha-numeric keypad and display.
The remote control is performed via the RS-232 port and the following HIGH SPEED CAENET interfaces: the CAMAC Mod. C117 B, the VME Mod. V 288 and the PC controller Mod. A 303A.
Up to 6336 independent channels can be controlled from a single point via H. S. CAENET.
Safety protections are available on the System (interlock, Vsel, Isel, Kill) and on the individual board (hardware Vmax).
The System is designed to avoid all trimming and calibration procedures. An automatic software controlled self-calibration procedure of all the channels is provided.
The HV values and all operational parameters are stored in a non-volatile memory. The parameters setting is password protected.
